More than likely you have a bad brake master cylinder. What is happening is the fluid is by passing the internial parts of the cylinder and the brake peddle goes to the floor, when you pump the brake you are moving those parts and for a time it will hold. This is a very dangerous situation, if the master cylinder fails completely you will have no brakes at all. If you are experenceing this you should have your car towed to your service center for repair. Please don’t drive it.

There can be a number of reasons for this condition, but the most common would be a fuel pump going bad. All cars today are fuel injected, most fuel injection system run with a high fuel pressure provided by a electronic fuel pump mounted inside the fuel tank, this fuel pump has a check valve to stop the fuel from draining back into the tank when the engine is off if this check valve is bad the fuel pressure drains back and when you start the pump has to refill all the lines and build the pressure back up so that the engine will start. to repair this you will need to have the fuel pump replaced.

Not in the same way as we used to, many years ago we had to tune up cars every 25,000 miles. the ignition systems and spark plugs would ware out that quickly. In today’s car we have killer fully electronic ignition systems and spark plugs with platinum tips that don’t ware out so you can go up to 100,000 miles before they need attention. But if you see the check engine light on we should get a scanner on it and check things out.

Yes, in the past we never changed the fluid and it seemed to work fine in reality it did not work as well as it could have but we got away with it. Today’s cars have anti lock brake systems that use an electronically controlled solenoid system to control our braking as contaminates get in the fluid they attack this system and can cause very expensive repairs, it’s much less expensive to change the fluid and know that brake system is working as it should

Most likely you have a battery beginning to fail, when the starter can’t get enough voltage to crank the engine it many times will make that clicking sound you heard. You should get to your service center as soon as you can to get it checked and tested, once it gives you that warning it will leave you stranded soon.

Squeaks and sounds can sometimes be hard to find, but one of the most common things we find with this complaint is a bad u-joint or universal joint in the drive shaft. the only time you hear this is at slow speed and many times it will only happen when backing up. Any odd noises should always be checked but in particular this one can leave you stranded if it breaks. Have your service center take a look.

When the air bag warning light is on the air bag system is turned off and you are no longer protected by it, in the event of a crash the system will not work. This light can come on for many reasons related to the air bag itself or the seat belt system. This is a fantastic safety system and you should get it repaired a.s.a.p. There is alot of talk today about the dangers of this system but many lives have been saved by it.
