Yes, you should always change the filter at each oil change, it’s a cheep insurance policy to protect your engine. Normal engine operation will leave contaminates floating in your oil, the filter removes these contaminates and stops them from hurting the engine. Just as important as changing the filter is to have the oil itself changed at the proper intervals. here’s a picture of a very overdue oil and filter change, the engine this filter came from has major damage, and major dollars in repair.

Many times this will be a brake pad warning sensor touching the brake rotor to let you know the brakes are getting thin. You should get into your service center as soon as possible to have this checked. The warning sensor won’t cause any damage to the rotor but if you drive right through the sensor you stand a good chance of destroying the brake rotor and making the brake job much more expensive.

Many times this is because the A/C blower resistor has failed. Your service technician will have to check this for you, also they may check the current draw of the blower motor because if it is more than the spec. that’s what will damage the resistor, if you just replace the resistor you will be doing it again very soon.

This time of year in south Florida we get this complaint many times a day, and when it’s 95 degrees outside with in-car temps well over 110 degrees it takes any A/C system some time to cool the car down. If the system is not running at 100% efficacy, because it’s a little low on freon or the cabin filter is dirty well it can make a huge difference on how long it takes to cool down your car. An A/C service is a good idea to be sure all is well and working at peak efficacy. It’s still hot outside but this may help a little.

There’s a couple of things first and the least effective, you can pick up a do it yourself kit follow the directions and they will look good for a couple of months and go right back to where they were. You can have the light assemblies replaced but that’s very expensive. Or you can have the assemblies reconditioned, we work with a body shop that cleans the light and puts a clear coat the same thing that’s on your paint over the lens this seems to do the trick for the long hall.

The T.V. commercials would like you to think so but in reality you can cause bigger problems by just dumping freon in the system. Like everything else in your car today the A/C system is complicated and requires an exact amount of freon to work properly, there is no way you can tell what you’re doing with a quick charge can, and freon won’t evaporate if the system is low there is a leak. If the system is blowing warm you should get the car to your service center for a proper diagnoses.

Many times this will be a belt problem, it could be that the belt is worn out or the tensioner is going bad, or maybe the belt just needs tightened up. Your service center should be able to find and fix the problem pretty quick.
