Well as you might guess there are many things that can cause this, from being low on freon to a relay, to a bad compressor. Most of the time we find the system is low on freon, If the system is low there will be a leak freon won’t evaporate sometimes it will be a very small leak and hard to find, if your service center has the right equipment they will try to find the leak and inform you about the cost of the repair.

There’s a good chance you have a broken engine mount. When the engine torques up leaving a light the mounts have a lot of strain on them if one breaks you will feel a clunk or thud as the mount comes apart. This needs to be corrected as soon as possible so stop by your service center to get it checked out.

No, the light is indicating there is a power problem in your car it may be that the battery is bad and will need replaced, but it is just as likely the alternator has a problem that has led to a low battery. many times people replace the battery only to find the real problem was in the alternator. Your local service center can check this for you and recommend the proper action.

Many times when we get this complaint, the problem is in the electric fuel pump, more precisely the check valve in the pump. When it fails and the car sits overnight the fuel drains back into the tank and the fuel system needs to be charged and pressured for the injector’s to work properly that will many times take two starts. The repair for this is to replace the fuel pump assembly.

Many times this will be an indication of a bad drive axle C.V. joint. If the boot that protects the joint has been torn, dirt and water has gotten in the joint and damaged it causing this noise. You will need to get to your service center to have this repaired.

I have been in business for 29 years and the thinking on this from the tire manufactures has changed many times, but right now due to tire construction among other things the best tires go to the rear whether you are driving a front or rear wheel drive car. This will give you more traction in the rear and stop the back of the car from coming around on a wet slippery road in turns.

There are a number of warning lights on your dash-board anytime any one of them come on you should have things checked but the oil light is very important when it comes on you need to stop driving as soon as you’re in a safe place and have your car towed to your service center. It may be that the system is just low on oil and needs to be topped off but it could be much worse and you can cause major engine damage very quickly.

Many times with these kind of symptoms the alternator has gone bad and it’s no longer keeping the battery charged, as you drive the battery is being drained of all it’s power until things start to shut down. finely there’s not enough power to keep the engine running and it stalls.

Well it’s like any other insurance you buy if you never use it then it seems like a waste of money but if you need it, you are very glad you have it. There is a lot of debris on our roads and if you ever had a side wall puncture on a good tire and had to buy another one, well you may be glad you had it. Adding a road hazard policy to your tire purchase adds $15.00 or so to each tire, not all that much for the peace of mind.

Struts and shocks are one of those things that go bad very slowly so if you drive your car everyday you really don’t notice them failing. But they do wear out, you can bet after 100,000 miles they need to be replaced, many times the recommendation is 75,000 miles. Just like I said you many times don’t notice them going bad, but when you have them replaced you will feel a major change in ride and control of your car.
