Should I have the balance checked on my tires when I have them rotated?

It’s always a good idea to have the balance checked. nothing more frustrating than a high speed vibration that wasn’t there before the tires were rotated. This does happen, sometimes a tire may be on the rear and slightly out of balance when moved to the front that same vibration becomes very annoying, as well If the tires are balanced they will wear better and last longer

My car seemed to start a bit slower then normal, is that a bad battery?

As the outside temp changes cold or hot our car batteries do seem to struggle a bit, but that is a warning sign that the battery could be going bad. It would be a good idea to stop by your local service center to have a load test run on the battery. If your service center is doing their job they will run a complete test on the system connections and alternator included.

My car has nitrogen in the tires can I add regular air if my tire is low?

Yes all that happens is all the advantages of the nitrogen will be gone. you can have the air drained and the tire refilled with nitrogen at a service center that provides nitrogen. The advantages of nitrogen are better fuel economy, longer tire life, improved handling ans safety.

I turned my cars heater on and got a odd sweet kind of smell from it, what could this be?

It may be that the heater core has a small leak, the heater core is like a small radiator under the dash-board, the same coolant that cools your engine runs through small tubes in the core if one of those tubes starts leaking you will get the smell on coolant coming through the vents. You should stop by your service center right away to have this checked. If the leak is bad enough the engine will over heat, this problem can also make a big mess inside your car.

When I turn sharp I hear a loud clicking sound from my car, what could this be?

Many times under these conditions such as a hard turn the noise is coming from the front drive axles. There is a boot that protects the axle shaft this boot may break open, if this happens damage will occur  and the result will be a clicking nose. If this is happening the outer axle joint will have to be replaced or many times the entire axle shaft. Some times we can replace the shaft for the same price as the joint so its’ the better way to go.

My parts store scanned my car and found a throttle position sensor code, should I replace the sensor?

You can replace the sensor but there’s no way without further testing to know if the sensor is the problem or the circuit to the sensor or even the computer that operates the sensor. Having a parts store scan your car for a problem and then replacing that part can be a waste of money and time. If your engine light is on it really needs to have a diagnostic run to determine the real cause and not just a scan test.
