Sometimes my brake peddle sinks to the floor when I’m at a red light, I pump it and it hold fine. What could be the problem?

More than likely you have a bad brake master cylinder. What is happening is the fluid is by passing the internial parts of the cylinder and the brake peddle goes to the floor, when you pump the brake you are moving those parts and for a time it will hold. This is a very dangerous situation, if the master cylinder fails completely you will have no brakes at all. If you are experenceing this you should have your car towed to your service center for repair.  Please don’t drive it.
