Why won’t my transmission shift?

Many times when the transmission won’t shift it is locked in whats called limp mode. This is where your car senses a problem and so you don’t get stuck on the road the transmission locks into limp mode to get you to the nearest service center. There are other things that can make the transmission not shift but this is the most common.
