Wow is it hot, It seems that everyone’s a/c system has a problem, the main complaint it’s just not blowing as cold and you know you are right. when it’s in the mid 90’s the a/c system is working overtime to cool your car down, did you know that inside your car sitting in the sun for even just a short time the temperature can be as high as 130 to 170 degrees then we ask our a/c systems to cool down all those parts inside the car as well as us, sometimes it just takes a little longer to get things cooled off. Of course we can always service and test your system to see that it’s working as it should.

Many times if you don’t balance them you will end up with a shake you didn’t have before. At Poirier’s Service Center we will check the balance on each tire if it’s good we will just rotate if not we will rebalance the ones that need it. As tires wear the balance will change. So for the best ride and the best tire wear they should be balanced.

Most of the time this is caused by a variation in the thickness of the brake rotors, as you apply the brakes the difference in thickness will make the brakes grab and miss it only takes a few thousandths on an inch to make this happen. Most of the time your service center can resurface the rotors and clean them up, but sometimes they will have to be replaced they can only be cut to a point after that they will not function as they should and actually become unsafe.

Many times this is an indication of an internal transmission problem, it may also be shifting hard instead of the smooth shifting you are used to. If this is the case you need to get to your service center as soon as you can. The problem may be as simple as a solenoid or connector all the way up to a rebuild, it will have to be scanned and inspected.

So sorry if we missed you this week our building had to be tented and we had to be out for two days we received about 35 calls I have tried to return those that left a message. we are very sorry for the
inconvenience this has caused.
My tire pressure warning light came on I stopped to get the tires topped off and the light stayed on, my mechanic said I have a bad monitor and I should replace them all as the batteries are all weak, could this be true? Yes the monitors run on battery power the batteries cannot be replaced so many times if we see one dead battery the others are right behind.

When you are stopped at a red light or stop sign and the brake pedal seems to sink or drop to the floor, there’s a good chance you have a bad brake master cly. This is the part that sends fluid out to the wheels to apply the brakes. These units are very safe and if you service the brake fluid as you should, theres a good chance you will never have this kind of problem.
