Many times this can be caused by a bad drive axle, the axle has a boot to keep dirt and water from getting to the joint if this boot breaks open water and dirt enter the axle joint and destroy all the moving parts that’s when you hear the clicking noise. At this point the axle will need to be replaced.

The thermostat controls the engine temperature the faster the engine gets to operating temperature the cleaner the engine will run, so for emissions reasons it is very important , as well all of the sensors on your engine need to be at operating temperature to get you the best gas millage.

It stands for “automotive service excellence.” Each one of our mechanics is certified my the A.S.E. they have to take tests every four years to prove they understand new car concepts. At Poirier’s Service Center each one of our mechanics is certified two of them are Master Technician’s the other has many of his certifications. Dave just took the tests again this week he got 100% on 3 tests and only missed 1 question on each of the other 5 we are very proud to have him represent us.

Many times the horn pad in the steering wheel breaks down and the contacts come together without you touching it, this of course turns the horn on and it will blow many times until the horns burn out, often times the horn pad is part of the air bag and the complete air bag will need to be replaced to fix it.

Most of the time when you have a tire wear issue on both the inside and outside it’s a pressure problem low pressure will cause both edges to wear to much pressure and the center will wear. normally a alignment problem will wear one side or the other.

My tire monitor system says my left front tire is low so I checked it and it is fine but the monitor system still says left front tire low. I looked around the car and found the right rear tire low, why is my car telling me left front? when you have your tires rotated the service center needs to tell the car where the tires were rotated to , many shops don’t bother with this and you end up with a system not working as it should.

Anti lock brake systems have saved countless lives by allowing cars to stop faster in a panic situation. The fact is if you can keep your wheels rolling wile in a hard stop your car will stop in a shorter distance, that’s what anti lock brakes do. If you should see the anti lock light on the system is off line and needs to be serviced

It could be many things but what happens more often then not is the bulbs go bad, what happens is first one goes out and you just don’t notice it, then of course when the other goes out you think it all happened at the same time. Check the bulbs first, your local service center can check this for you. If you decide to change them yourself and they are halogen bulbs make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb.

The answer in a nut shell is yes! nitrogen stays in your tires for a longer period of time then just air, the longer you keep your tires up to the proper pressure the better tire ware you we see and the better gas millage you will experience, it’s also safer to drive on properly inflated tires.
